Digital Metrics Analyst (Marketing)
Location: Alexandria, VA (On-Site)

This position requires an experienced self-starter who has used Google Analytics and Social Media Analytics to make data-driven decisions for digital campaigns. The Digital Marketing Analyst will be responsible for the measurement, reporting and analysis of all digital media channels and platforms. They will also support the development and evaluation of strategic communications plans.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of a strategic communications plan.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define KPIs and ensure results are measurable and actionable.
- Execute measurement strategies to assess the effectiveness of digital media campaigns across web, display, video, search, and social platforms.
- Collect, analyze, and report on campaign performance data using tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, and other digital analytics platforms.
- Manage and optimize data intake, validation, analysis, and visualization processes to deliver actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and assess digital campaigns and improve performance.
- Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective team and stakeholder management.
- Provide subject matter expertise in performance measurement and digital analytics for campaign evaluation and RFP responses.
- Assist in drafting clear, compelling business and technical proposals, translating research findings into actionable recommendations.
- Measure attitudes and actions among key audiences—including policymakers, the public, industry, and media—to inform and refine communication strategies.
- Evaluate communication plans, digital engagement initiatives, and related products, incorporating findings into final reports.
- Offer integrated program support to track, report, and analyze project status across all initiatives.
- Recommend performance measurement goals based on evaluation of digital engagement policies, processes, and procedures.
- Identify, compile, and analyze key metrics to inform strategy, grow audiences, and increase engagement across digital platforms.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using digital and social media tracking tools to support data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Metrics Analyst.
- Expertise in using metrics and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, media and social media tracking platforms) to track, measure, and analyze communications performance.
- Highly data-driven, results-oriented, and skilled in drawing actionable insights from data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders professionally, diplomatically, and tactfully.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to make independent decisions.
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance while producing high-quality, low-revision work products.
- Flexible and effective in dynamic environments; able to quickly adapt to shifting priorities and responsibilities.
- Skilled in managing and prioritizing multiple assignments throughout the workday.
- Proactive in identifying tasks, solving problems, and addressing competing priorities.
- Consistently responds to requests in a timely, professional manner.
